The Nezhdaninskoye gold deposit is located in southern Verkhoyansk, in the valley of the Tyra River (the right tributary of the Aldan River). The field was actively developed from 1974 to 1998. Development of Nezhdaninskoye was resumed in 2019, when the field completely came under the control of Polymetal JSC. During the entire period of development of the field, no work was carried out to assess the impact of the enterprise on the environmental conditions of the habitat of commercial mammals in the region. In 2022, M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University, commissioned by Polymetal JSC, conducted research on the species diversity and abundance of commercial mammals in the area affected by the Nezhdaninsky mining and processing complex. The main тarget of the research was to assess the direct and indirect impact of gold mining activities on the number and distribution of commercial mammals. A study of the diversity and abundance of hunting mammals in the vicinity of the Nezhdaninsky gold deposit did not reveal significant differences in these indicators with the hunting grounds of the Tomponsky ulus (district) not affected by anthropogenic impact. In forested areas, the animal population density was higher than in open biotopes. It was found that the impact of the activities of the mining enterprise is local in nature, which is facilitated by the rugged terrain and a special operating mode that does not require workers to be outside the enterprise. The location of a mining enterprise does not have a significant negative impact on the number of most species of game animals living in adjacent areas. For economically valuable animal species, direct persecution remains a more significant limiting factor reducing numbers.

Three cases of 22q11.2 deletion syndrome based on prenatally detected fetal anomalies are presented. The possibility of targeted prenatal diagnosis based on echographic criteria in the fetus for the formation of a high-risk group for deletion syndrome (DM) of chromosome 22q11.2. is shown.

The article is devoted to the history of the formation and development of the ecological movement in Yakutia at the end of the 20th century. By author considers the preconditions for the emergence of protest environmental organizations The basic nature protection initiatives of the population in the specified period are shown. A special role of the indigenous peoples of the North in the ecological movement of Yakutia was noted. A special attention is paid to the interaction of public associations with authorities of various levels. It is noted that the ecological problems of Yakutia served as a catalyst for the public activity of the population and led to the formation of the first socio-ecological movements in the republic. It is the deterioration of the ecological situation in the republic, the focus of public attention on this issue, which has become the reason for strengthening the influence of public opinion on the authorities. As a result, it is noted that the experience of the first ecological associations in Yakutia is an example of the fact that public opinion, formed by them, can potentially play a significant role and exert a significant influence on the authorities.

The parasite of nine-spine sticklebacks, the Neoechinorhynchus beringianus, was found in the intestines of the broad whitefish caught in the Buyunda River, the Kolyma tributary. The morphometric parameters of the found specimen and individuals of the same species from the population existing in the lower reaches of the Kolyma River were compared. The possible conditions of the host species infection with a non-indigenous parasite and the variants of the acanthocephalan settlement in the river basin are considered.

The importance of studying the microelement composition of soils and vegetation in the Northern territories is due to the role of microelements in soil formation under cryolithozone conditions, and secondly, the influence of the microelement background of plants on the physiological functions of animals and humans. At the same time, heavy metals deserve special attention as they pose a threat to all living organisms due to their ability to accumulate. The article presents data on the content of heavy metals in the aboveground parts of meadow grasses growing under cryolithozone conditions - in the Khangalassky district, located in the Central Yakut biogeochemical province. Atomic absorption spectral analysis showed that the content of heavy metals - cadmium and lead - in the aboveground parts of the studied plants varied significantly depending on the place of collection, but did not exceed the maximum permissible concentrations. The concentration of zinc in some of the herbal collection points exceeded the maximum permissible concentrations. The need to study the content of heavy metals in plants is due to the fact that they are the primary link in the movement of toxic elements along the trophic chain into the human body. Lead and cadmium accumulate in parenchymal organs, are carcinogenic and affect the morbidity and mortality of the northern population.

Time to the most recent common ancestor (TMRCA) of Sakha men with haplogroup N3a2-M1982 of the Y chromosome was evaluated by 23 STR markers using the mutation rate constant of Y-STR loci that we had previously calculated. The obtained TMRCA values indicate a period of ~1300-1400 years ago (VI-VII centuries AD), associated with the primary expansion of the population. Based on genetic data and analysis of texts from ancient Chinese chronicles, a hypothesis has been put forward about the connection of the ancestral Sakha population with the Yuzhe people, who supplied mammoth ivory to China.

The study is devoted to studying the relationship between the rs9939609 polymorphism of the FTO gene and body mass index (BMI) in the Yakut population. The sample consisted of 521 participants of Yakut nationality without diabetes mellitus. An analysis of the distribution of frequencies of occurrence of alleles and genotypes was carried out, as well as an analysis of BMI indicators in groups with different genotypes of the rs9939609 polymorphism of the FTO gene, during which similarities were found in the ratios of allele frequencies with populations of East and South Asia. The study showed a weak association of obesity with the risk allele A when comparing the group with normal BMI and the combined group of obesity + pre-obesity.

The evaluation of the status of lipid peroxidation and the glutathione system in patients with lung cancer depending on the histological form and stage of the disease has been carried out. The intensity of free radical oxidation of lipids was assessed by the accumulation of malondialdehyde. The indicators of the glutathione system were assessed by the concentration of the reduced form of glutathione and the activity of enzymes: glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, glutathione transferase. Our data indicate that as the clinical stage of lung cancer develops, the level of lipid peroxidation increases, against the background of inhibition of the glutathione reductase activity). Higher levels of malondialdehyde in patients with adenocarcinoma suggest that tumor development may be more closely related to oxidative stress.

The role of pathogenic variants of the MY015A gene in the etiology of hearing loss has not been sufficiently studied in the world, since the larger size of the gene (66 exons, 71 kb) suggests the search for pathogenic variants using NGS technologies, which are not yet sufficiently used in routine practice. In this regard, it is relevant to study the role of pathogenic variants of the MY015A gene in the etiology of non-syndromic forms of hearing impairments The purpose of this work is to describe the rare pathogenic variant c.7636C>T p.(Gin2546*) in the MY015A gene, found in a homozygous state in two siblings with prelingual profound sensorineural hearing loss from a Buryat family. Previously, this variant was found only in one patient in a compound-heterozygous state with another nonsense variant in the MY015A gene in Brazil and described as pathogenic. Detection of variant c.7636C>T p.(Gln2546*) in a homozygous state in Buryat siblings may indicate either a rare case of endogamous marriage or a wider distribution of this variant in the Lake Baikal region.

This article presents the results of studying the course of tuberculosis infection in children and adolescents who have suffered COVID-19 according to a study of ELISA with the presence of Ig G in the blood. The follow-up included 54 patients aged 2 to 16 years with local forms of tuberculosis who were treated in the inpatient conditions of the children’s department of the E.N. Andreev Scientific and Practical Center of Phthisiology from 2020 to 2022. The patients were divided into two groups: the first group – children who had suffered from COVID-19 according to the results of IgG in the blood – 17 patients; the second group – those who had not had COVID-19 with negative results in IgG blood – 37 patients. A comparative medical and social analysis revealed that children who had had COVID-19 had both social and medical risk factors, as well as a burdened epidemiological history, contact with adult patients with acute progressive and destructive forms of pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods of detecting the tuberculosis process in the first group, 88 % of children were detected by contact, 6 % by treatment, 6 % by immunodiagnostics; in the second group, 51 % by contact, 8 % by treatment and 41 % by immunodiagnostics of the patients. In the study of the tuberculosis process in children of the first group, the infiltration phase was recorded in 80 % patients in the reverse development phase: resorption– 10 % and in the calcification phase – 10 %. In the second group, the infiltration phase was in 50 % of children, the resorption phase was in 14 %, and the calcification phase was in 36 % of patients. It should be noted that the effect of a previously transmitted new coronavirus infection on the course and outcomes of the tuberculosis process was not revealed, no correction of chemotherapy was required, and there was no need to increase the duration of treatment.
