The article is devoted to the interpretation of the concept of the Tatar origin of the Sakha people. This opinion is prompted by the analysis of the legends about the forefathers of the people Omogoe and Ellaei and the historiography of the question. In Yakut folklore, as the ancestors of Sakha are mentioned “Tataars” and a man named Tataar-taima, who is considered the father of Ellaei. This article analyzes information about the Central Asian Tatars found in the Ancient Turkic runic inscriptions, in the Chinese sources of the Tang, Song, Lyao, and Jin dynasties. In the writings of Rashid al-Din, they act as a mighty tribe that had previously dominated Central Asia. Mahmudal-Kashgari refers the Central Asian Tatars to the Turkic-speaking peoples who have their own language. S.G. Klyashtorny and Yu.A. Zuyev after studying the information of runic monuments and Chinese sources of different dynasties came to the conclusion that in the ethnogenesis of the Buir Nur Tatars took place also Heihez-Shiwei, i.e. cart Kanglies and Iranian-speaking Sogdians - sog-po. Kangly in the Buir Nura Tatars are compared with the Kangalas among the Sakha. Indo-, Iranian-speaking component in Sakha may be traced back to the participation of Iranian component in the ethnogenesis of the Central Asian Tatars. In the works of Abulgazi and Rashid-ad-Din there is news of the flight of the remains of Tatars to the Angara River. These messages are identified with the folklore sources of the sakha about the flight of people from the tribe “tataar”, defeated in the war against the people of “nuucha”. Proto-Yakutian Ust-Tal'kin archeological culture of the 12th - 14th centuries in the Southern Priangarie it is associated with the usutu-mangun tribe. The ethnonym Usutu-mangun is reconstructed as water Mongols. This tribe, according to European travelers, is identical to the tribe of the Tatars. The ethnonym of the Mongol was one of the ancient self-names of Sakha. In the Angara Tatars or Alakchin there was a Manga region, whose name is similar to the name of the Yakut ulus Mange. Folklore, linguistic, ethnographic and anthropological data testify to the common ancestors of Sakha and Buryat-Bulagat. This coincides with the conclusion of archaeologists that the Ust-Tal'kin culture simultaneously belongs to the Mongolian ancestors of the Buryats - the Bulagat tribe, and the Turkic-speaking Sakha ancestors.

The article discusses the origin of the Sakha people, and proves the connection between the Sakha ancestors with the Central Asian Tatars, some of which in the course of civil wars in the XIII century came to the Angara River. They were known by the name Usutu-Mangun or water Tatars, they belonged to Ust-Talkino archaeological culture of the Angara Region in the XII–XIV centuries. The information from the Yakut legends describing the forefathers features Elley from the tribe "tataar", and his father Tataar-Tyma It is proved that the ethnonyms “Mongol” and “Tataar” were known by the Sakha ancestors. The Endoethnonyms of Yakuts “Sakha” and “Uraanhay” also relate to the ethnonyms “Zubu” (sog-po), the names referred to the Tatars and Uluhou (Uriangkhai) - ancestors of the Tatars. The Central Asian Tatars took an active part in shaping the Kimak-Kipchak tribes. That is why the versions of archeologist about the participation of the Kimak-Kipchaks in formation of Ust-Talkintses and the Yakut culture are compared in the article. Thus, the beginning of the ethnogenesis of Sakha ancestors is associated with the region of Lake Baikal, where the Turkic ancestors of the Sakha contacted with the Mongol tribes.

This article explores the origin of the ethnonym Khangalas. The image of the ancestor of Elleya and the leader of all the Yakut tribes of Tygyn is connected with the Khangalassy people. From Khangalassy people are not only the modem Khangalassky and Mcgino-Khangalassky ulus, but also Gomy (formerly East Kangalassky), Olekminsky, Suntar and Nyurbinsky uluses. Khangalassy people also very actively participated in the origin of the Yakut population of the Abyysky. Momsky and Kolyma uluses. Khangalassy people traditionally connect with the Turkic tribe kangla and are considered to be the carriers of the Kypchak component in the Sakha people. Kanglas arc considered descendants of Iranian-speaking Kangyu. a state in Central Asia. According to another version, the kanglas are compared with the nomadic association of Gaogyui through the word for “cart". This hypothesis allowed G.V. Ksenofontov to connect the Khangalassy people w ith the ancient L'ighurs who fled in the IX century to the tribes of Da-shivey. At this time, the most popular version is A.I. Gogolev, connecting the Kangalassy people w ith the Kypchak component in the ethnogencsis of the Sakha. According to the hypothesis of A.I. Gogolev and I.V. Konstantinov, the Kangalas arc the last wave of strangers from the south, which brought burials with the horse and are associated with the culture of “Kyrgyz-etehev" of the XVI XVII centuries. Researcher Yu.A. Zuev discovers kangly among the Tamat-dubo and Buir-Nur Tatars. ITiis article is discussed these versions in detail. Also, the Evenk version of the origin of the Khangalassy people is discussed. The hypothesis of the Tungusologist V.A. Tugolukov is based on the presence of Kangalassian genera among the Amur Evenks and their identification with earlier nanagirs. This version explains the ethnonym Khangalas from the same name with the meaning “goose". This version of the origin of the Khangalassy people connects them with the Kachin people and the hypothesis of L.R. Kyzlasov about the origin of the term “Khakas" from the word “Haas".
